Bells 04:32
Caught in a whirlwind Flat on my back Just trying to get to you Won't you cut me some slack? I see us together It never ends You only see trouble Me getting high with my friends Bells ring out in the city Bells go off in my head Lights the flash in the morning they never end Voices pass through me I'm going out of my head The day only offers More confusion instead I see us together It never ends Somewhere you're living life I'm going out of my head
2.
And in my mind, time will be kind Time will be kind to me You're a memory of a sold-out dream There's nothing to hold onto Your can't be trusted, your nobody now I'm no better than you but you know better than me about history There's no recollection There's no book selection That knows the story You might as well come out and say You might as well come out and play When every time they tell you to go home I'm a space on a time line Can't move forward and can't think straight I'm nobody now
3.
Suffice it to say that it's over But its divisive to say that we don't share the blame I got my bag packed and I'm going I just got to say I don''t want to explain On a highway to nowhere Not a care in the world not a dime to my name I'm going solo I can't be contained by the rules of the game And when my train is gone Don't be holding on Suffice it to say that it's over But its divisive to say that we don't share the blame I got my bag packed and I'm going I don't want to stay I just got to say That when my train is gone Don't be holding on Lyrics by Adam Leland

Neon flashing The lights are hot Got to give it up, give it all you got Take a chance Don't compromise Take your temperature Blood on the rise There's nothing else to say Let me show you, I'll blow you away Love The Sinner and Love The Sin I got a system and it's one of a kind Got you in my sights, got you on my mind Let the wheel spin, let the wagon roll Let the power take, power take ahold It never felt so go and if I asked you , I wonder if your would Love The Sinner and Love The Sin you've got a rhythm and it's one of a kind Got Me dead to rights, got me goin' blind I'm not taking the easy way out I'll leave you satisfied. left in no doubt There's nothing else to do I'm gonna meet'cha, I'm gonna teach you to Love The Sinner and Love The Sin

about

Eric and Adam Leland began writing songs together in the late 1980's as members of The Stonesouls. After writing separately with their own bands (The Luxury Kings, Rocksploitation) they have revisited their songwriting partnership. In 2016 Eric made a CD of incomplete songs for Adam to add lyrics and/or melody. What came back just one month later was 17 completed songs. These 4 come from this group of songs.

This E.P. was recorded at Eric's home studio over the fall of 2016 and mixed in spring 2017. Eric plays all instruments and vocals.
